Who We Are
Joyful Learning
Alexander Robertson School, established in 1789, is a co-educational independent school serving elementary aged students in Junior-Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
ARS combines a traditional daily structure of scheduled academics and enrichment classes presented within an innovative, creative and fun teaching framework. We emphasize excellence in academics while placing equal emphasis on exposing children to the arts, ethics and physical education. We teach children to think critically, explore their creativity, and reason logically, stressing the value of both individual learning and collaboration.
Since its conception, part of ARS’s mission has been to welcome and embrace families of every configuration and background. We have always been and will continue to be committed to diversity, teaching students to be inclusive and to respect themselves and others.
Small Class Size and 4:1 Student/Faculty Ratio
Our small class sizes, of no more than 12 children, and our 4:1 student/faculty ratio allow for students to receive individual attention in a nurturing environment. ARS students are well-rounded, articulate, resilient and morally responsible individuals. They are prepared for any challenges they may face in middle school and beyond.
